About
Camille, age 22, loves to sing and tell stories through her guitar. Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, she’s been involved with the arts her entire life. She’s performed on stages around South Africa including Johannesburg, Cape Town, the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, and the Durban International Blues Festival when she was 16. Since moving to Toronto, Camille has performed throughout Austin, New York City, and locally at the University of Toronto, Supermarket, Handlebar, and the Painted Lady to name a few. A poet and a singer-songwriter, she’s twice been a Finalist in the Barleycorn National Songwriting Competition in South Africa held annually in Cape Town. Grateful for the gift of storytelling through music, Camille composed her first song at 14 and hasn’t stopped since. She is currently working on a debut EP with 512 Studios in Austin, Texas.
